Printing draft on a 1:1 scale

Post by CornontheRob »

Hello! I'm very new to any sort of design software so I'm trying to familiarize myself a bit with it by making the design of a prop for a costume. I've gotten everything so far but when I print it out the lengths are wrong. What's supposed to be 30cm is coming out as ~15cm. I set my printer settings to both page and output size as A4 but it still isn't printing on the right scale. I also tried exporting it as an .svg to print through inkscape but I get the error "No Technical Drawing Page found in selection." Sorry if there's a very obvious answer to this that I've overlooked and thanks in advance for the help!

You need to use the TechDraw Workbench https://wiki.freecadweb.org/TechDraw_Workbench and print from there.
