You can use the Draft ShapeString tool, I think. Not sure if it is available in your version. If not, please download a newer version from http://sourceforge.net/projects/free-ca ... 0unstable/

According to the results of a quick Google search, you will find the font files in the directory

C:\Windows\Fonts

I can not confirm this personally as I only run Linux now days.....I have no systems left with Windows of any version.

I confirm it was not available on the current stable release (0.13.1830).

I'm not sure it's available in the last unstable (Release candidate) version either. It depends if wmayer updated the LibPack to include freetype which is required by the Draft ShapeString tool...

...thanks all. I was locked out of the windows font files so I downloaded an "Arial" font and am running now.

FYI,

A new stable version was released today, but it's only available for 64-bit Windows for now. I'm sure a 32-bit installer will be released soon.

Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, once you have your ShapeString text done on the face of your part, use the Part Extrude tool to generate a solid out of it, either upward if you want rised letters or downward if you want recessed letters. Then use the Part Fuse or Part Cut tool.

To make sure your text is lying on the face of your part, simply click on the face prior to launching the ShapeString tool.
