This is almost spam, why do you link to some shady website when it is perfectly available in the official release page? https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.17
Thanks for the tip, I changed it

Thanks a lot to all supporters. I really enjoyed your quick help.

I can confirm the same positive result with FreeCAD 0.17.

Obviously, the checks of FreeCAD 0.20 are much more strict than for FreeCAD 0.17.

As it turns out the later version does things differently, and I guess, stricter than 0.17.

For the future please use a more meaningful title than Recompute failed! Please check report view. That has to be single most useless error message that freecad throws. (to be clear I'm not blaming you for that)

I recorded this comparative video to show where I have the same issue in FreeCAD .0.20 🆚 freeCAD 0.19
I'm using win11.

you did not click update in 0.19, IMO it is normal to get errors when you have a faulty sketch (overconstrained)

I knew that it was an error, I do it intentionally ;) It's a demo to reproduce the FAILURE.
imagine what happens when you have tons of constraints .
Ps: The UPDATE button would add nothing to the error :?

well the error only pops up in the report view when you click update, I don't see the point in the 0.20 vs 0.19 comparison considering it seems to be the same in both.

i am a novice and trying the revolve tutorials and have the sketch constrained and unable to revolve. when i change some contrains to other types it works. So for some types it does not for some it does even if it says its fully constrained.

Please can anyone help with which constrains are valid for revolving sketches,
