.
In Part Design if the parts need to be joined/fused they should be modeled in the same body.

It' just my point of view.
It seems logic to me that this object has one revolution part and one support part. Like that, you have more choices (more directions) doing the support. In your way, you have just one choice.

Bue I don't really know the real use of this object, so ...

The Part Design paradigm is that a Body can be thought of as a solitary component or single piece that would be manufactured.

Two Part Design Body objects are two separate components, etc.

So, the typical workflow is to make all the features (operations like Pad/Pocket/etc.) that comprise that component in a single Body.

You mean using the mouse at 3d view ?

Hi manos, greetings to the Community!
The three animated * .gifs show how, with the tools available in the "Draft" Workbench, it is possible to perform any type of transformations (displacements - rotations and therefore "universal" alignments) of objects (created with any workbench) without no difficulty and without the aid of other tools or additional macros.
Certainly you have to become very familiar with the technique, but above all to understand very well how "they work" or rather what the work plans are and how to use them appropriately, this is the foundation not only in FreeCad but for cads in general.
The three animated * .gif show
- alignment of a face of a random parallelepiped with a face positioned randomly in the 3D view;
- the same alignment, the one above, using the "Alignment" function by using 3 vertices;
- rotation of the parallelepiped around a diagonal.

Domad thanks for the post but I use Sketcher for sketches. Anyway can I create a sketch in PartDesign WB and then "import" it at Draft WB , processing it and then "import it" back to PartDesign WB ?
