Re: Challenge?
yes, there is no substitute for exercise except more exercise
Re: Challenge?
Interesting... The last time I used such a face base work flow (for solid-modelling) was with Catia V4 before Solid-E was stable. Does anyone remember?
But anyway, it seems to be a valid result for the challenge.

Re: Challenge?
So what? Does it make it a better solution?
That's how we designed in the '90s! More than 20 years of progress ignored...

Re: Challenge?
I think it's solved very well. How long did it take? are the binders from part-design?
Re: Challenge?
I didn't time it, I was exploring the use of the subshapebinder. But, it took less than 5 minutes.thomas-neemann wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 5:11 pmI think it's solved very well. How long did it take? are the binders from part-design?
I was exploring because it is indeed the one from Part Design.

Re: Challenge?
This is a quite interesting solution, I learnt 2 things from your design:
- SubShapeBinder can be used without a Body container
- Part Loft can use a single vertex as one of its ends.
Re: Challenge?
Yes, indeed an interesting way to do it.
