Workbench Suggestions

Post by interior321 »

Helllo everyone, I am using the software to re-design a room in my house with as much accuracy as possible. I will be making a 2D and 3D layout and can anyone offer suggestions on workbenches that would be beneficial to download? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum
For making architectural drawings of the house with doors and windows the best is to use the Arch workbench in combination with the Draft workbench. Additional workbenches are not necessary.

with as much accuracy as possible
You would need to give more info about what you want, FreeCAD can give you precision down to some fine detail like .000001mm for instance.

Accuracy is up to you and how good you are with a tape measure or calipers.

a part from accuracy of measure, it is not ever trivial to reproduce an existing building, as usually walls are rarely perfectly square and perfectly at 90 degrees. :-D

So accuracy is somewhat an utopic matter, as the reality is not perfect.

Said so FC is perfectly able to do that and Arch WB has many tools to make this sort of thing.

Maybe try to see the dedicated Arch forum:
