Sorry to bother everyone.
In the simple object shown below, I have two concentric circles padded as distinct sketches and a slot in the larger circle that extends all the way to the circle center:
It can be seen extending to the center of the circle on the opposite face to that shown above. I don't know the best way to make the slot as a "cut out" in both circles, i.e. in the complete object. My level of knowledge is not that great. Many thanks indeed in anticipation of any advice. My FCStd file should be attached.
Best regards, Paul

You should make the slot after both pads with a separate pocket.
Furthermore: don't use 0mm constraints, use geometric constraints instead.

Re: Making a slot in an object with mutliple pads
Chris thanks!!! That fixed it. Yes, I used a 0mm constraint out of desperation, because I was unable to constrain the center of a circle to a line (the origin line). I see you used "Constrain point to object", I had no idea this was possible to constrain a point to a line - I simply had no experience with this constraint type. Now I have learned something - thank-you !

Shalm,
Brilliant solution!
Thanks so much for the education

In case you want to learn more: have a look at the document in my signature. You don't have to read all the 70 pages, in most cases it is enough to read about some of the geometric elements and about some constraints until you got the idea.
