I should also note that when posting an error like this, you really need the whole output from the report view, not just the last few lines. The actual error that's preventing the Addon Manager from loading is going to be near the top (and will itself be quite a few lines of output).

I only got the three lines in the report view on starting FreeCAD.

I will try again and see if there is anything else?

Just another data point. It seems fine in 30378 on Debian.

I get the same error, with the same limited traceback. The traceback is so limited because the error occurs in InitGui.py. The line that is causing the problem is:

Code: Select all

import AddonManager
When I paste that in the Python console I get:

Code: Select all

But you're comparing apples with pears, 0.21.30345 was known to have a fault and was fixed to the best of my knowledge between that version and 0.21.30377.

The weekly for Windows is currently at version 0.21.30345:
FreeCAD_weekly-builds-30345-2022-09-15-conda-Windows-x86_64-py38.7z
The Linux weekly is at 0.21.30377 already. I don't know the reason for that difference.

Anyway, maybe the OP can try pasting:

Code: Select all

import AddonManager
In the Python console.
That may provide some insights.

Thanks, @Roy_043, that's very useful. The error you are receiving is different from one one I fixed a few days ago, I'll get a patch ready this afternoon.
