Hi all,
trying to find (and follow) proper ways for changing the position of a solid within the 3D space, it appeared there probably are quite a number of ways to do so. None of them seems easy to be done or followed yet for me..
Could you help with a suggestion of your preferred WB_Commands to do this?
This greatly could reduce deadend roads, decreasing confusion and saving lots of tests and trials without much effect..
Would be happy!
Just for reference, a file with a solid is attached (hope this object can be called so..).

Right click on the solid and select Transform is quick and easy.
If moves to align with other solids is the goal then my go to is Manipulator workbench.
There also the tools under Edir menu, but most beginners find them a bit cryptic.

Re: Recomended WB-Commands for moving a solid in 3d?
Thanks a lot - getting closer to what I was evading somehow, mainly because of comprehension of terminoloy / used terms.
Bances and drmacros suggestions were the same and displacing a whole object by applying incremental values to one or more values of x-, y- or z-direction is working fine.
An 'Angle' is rotating an object around the Z-axis - so it seems, fine.
What I don't understand the least is (this was not mandatory until now..):
In Property / Placement you find 'Axis' i. e.: Property / Placement / Axis
Can you explain what do these three values for 'axis' mean? It can't mean an axis IMO - understood geometrically, you need more than a single point (X,Y and Z value) to define an axis.
@thomas-neemann, I want to have a look thereafter - as a rule of thumb, a video is not so helpful for my way of working.

They do mean axis. But, the 3 values define the vector (as in vector math) of the rotation axis.Ulicad wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 2:07 pm ...

If you look at the right end of the Placement line in the Property view, there is an ellipsis (three dots, ...) if you click this you will find the dialog discussed in the link below and you may find more conceptual info in the link on the various uses.

Great thanks to all!
What you supplied certainly is fully covering and answering my questions! Now it's time to study on my side so the OT can be closed as [Solved] eventually.
