Render > PovRay uses FreeCad materials

Post by Mark81 »

Please take a look at the attached file.
Let's consider the Part "Felt" just as example:

1. the Data > Material property is set to "Oil" (my material created with Render workspace)
2. the Cylinder001 object as a green Jade FreeCad material (set before the PovRay project, just to show it in a different color when I drew it)
3. inspecting the Felt@PovrayProject item inside the PovRay project shows it has "Oil" as selected material
4. the actual color of the "Oil" material is violet

But the rendering shows the FreeCad material (i.e. green).
What am I missing?

My expected behavior is:
in the FreeCad 3D space I should see the FreeCad materials (i.e. green), but in the rendering view I should see the PovRay materials (i.e. violet).

Hello,
The colour that Render takes into account is the one set in the Render Settings, not the general colour of the material. Open the Render Settings of the material (right click), set the Base Color of your shader to violet and it should work, I think. Let me know!
