I wanted to try the new clipping plane direction switching when looking from back of the sketch and noticed that the dimension numbers were not visible. Dimension lines and other constraint numbers/symbols are still visible. This happens with or without clipping plane active.
Edit:
Here is a clip

This might be misleading. I was referring to "View Section" command. Now when in Sketch Edit mode and "View Section" is active if you rotate the view and look from the back of the sketch the clipping direction changes automatically and the part of the model what is in front of the sketch (sketch local Z direction) becomes visible and what is behind the sketch (sketch local -Z direction) is hidden.
But sadly the dimension numbers disappear.

Here is a clip of the problem. I don't think its a settings or something.

@kisolre What's the behavior if you create the dimension when on the back side, then rotate to front side?

Same.
Tried this:
New file.
New sketch.
Draw rectangle.
Create dimension - Ok.
Rotate view from back - dimension number dissapears.
Create dimension while still looking from the back - dimension is created but the number is not visible.
Rotate view to front - both dimension numbers are visible.

Also tried NVidia:
Code: Select all
14:09:45 OpenGL version is: 4.6 (4.6.0 NVIDIA 445.75)
14:09:45 Run Gui init script
14:09:45 Init: Running FreeCADGuiInit.py start script...
14:09:46 Init: Searching modules...
14:09:53 Init: Initializing E:\FC_DevVMBuild\Mod\AddonManager... done
14:09:53 Init: Initializing E:\FC_DevVMBuild\Mod\Arch... done
14:09:53 Init: Initializing E:\FC_DevVMBuild\Mod\Draft... done
14:09:53 Init: Initializing E:\FC_DevVMBuild\Mod\Fem... done
and Intel integrated:
Code: Select all
14:14:53 OpenGL version is: 4.4 (4.4.0 - Build 21.20.16.5068)
14:14:53 Run Gui init script
14:14:53 Init: Running FreeCADGuiInit.py start script...
14:14:53 Init: Searching modules...
14:14:54 Init: Initializing E:\FC_DevVMBuild\Mod\AddonManager... done
Same behavior.
