how can i hide the axis cross inside the sketcher?
I have found a nice way to get well scaled pictures from a sketch too.
there is only one problem:
how can i hide the axis cross inside the sketcher?
hiding the grid is possible.
this would me allow to create a picture of a dimensioned sketch without any amount of work.
this is still not standard conform but a very fast way to get a well sized handout:
I can put my image into a technical documenation and pirnt it out exactyl scale 1:1 and with dimensions.

From the PartDesign GUI
Tools > Edit parameters > View > CornerCoordSystem = False
Tools > Edit parameters > View > CornerCoordSystem = False

Sorry microelly,
I thought you meant the triad.
I work around might be to temporarily select the x and y axis and change the selection color to match the background.
I am interested how did you get the scaling correct?

Re: how can i hide the axis cross inside the sketcher?
I have done a first prototype
you can see the idea and the script here.

now i want to add some comfort to have a tool for getting good pictures without extra work.
when i can hide the axis cross in sketcher, i can print the sketches with all messures (semi standard conform ).
with 96 dpi you can insert the pics without extra formating into libre office.

In FreeCAD terminology, what you call "axis cross" does not exist in the Sketcher, it's a triad centered at the origin that you can make visible from the menu View --> Toggle axis cross.microelly2 wrote:when i can hide the axis cross in sketcher
You are referring to the sketch X and Y axes.

Hi everyone
@ microelly
you are wanting to hide the sketch x and y axes, the green and red line in this screen shot, is that right?

yes jim - these two red & green lines and the red origin point.
to get an empty plane to print.

Re: how can i hide the axis cross inside the sketcher?
I'm still looking for a solution to this if anyone is still subscribed to this thread. I have some master sketch that has elements on the axes. These sketch lines are covered by the red and green axes in the Sketcher view, so it is impossible to find the correct element from the master sketch.
Re: how can i hide the axis cross inside the sketcher?
The axes still cannot be hidden, but you can rotate 3D view even in Sketcher while holding the ALT key (OPTION on macOS). Then you can select the lines lying behind the axes.
