Yea, they didn't change the interface so much between Qt4 and Qt5. But internally some things are different.
@chrisb do you mind splitting this thread up so that the QtDesigner stuff (although very important) doesn't hijack the original thread?

Seriiously, it's all good. It's kind of the challenge of forum thread discussions. I think your tangent is important and I'm learning from it as well. Simultaneously it makes it difficult to follow the original intention of the thread. Like I said, all good

In his video, Ickby uses 2 panels that are not currently in FreeCAD:
- "Task View": This is the "Task" part of the "Combo View", but it does not exist alone.
- "Navigation View": This is a panel containing the different files as tabs.
