Even better, design a clone helmet for a sheep's cranium. So meta!

And again something serious in 48x48, 32x32, 16x16.

That said, the same applies to the sheep idea, it's also nice but, again, not something for a serious software.
Nononono, just a little bit of fun is awesome! It adds some soul to the software, makes me feel like it was written by people, not robots :P . IMHO, of course =)

Good software like FreeCAD does not need unfunny icons to be taken serious. I have hardly seen a better icon than the current clone:
Suggesting perfectly the attached function + distinguishable at all sizes. And, yes, it is funny - and I like it.

Is it only me, or does that icon remind anyone else not only of Star Wars but also of the cloud guy from the kids movie Trolls? It's not the character shown in the preview picture below but the one who appears at 0:22 in the video (and I don't know what that is after 1:34):

yorik wrote: Sun Nov 12, 2017 5:27 pm I liked the sheep icons too (all of them actually :) ) the issue that needs to be looked at, as triplus says, is how these icons look like at 16px or 22px... They might need some tweaking.
Just now I saw the current clone icon in the toolbar.
In other programs such as Gimp the "clone tool icon" is a stamp.

Another symbol you could consider is the zodiac sign "twins" or Gemini symbol

I feel that this time the demand is more or less clear. Sheep. Participating designers therefore best to focus on how to achieve this requirement and universal praise. As it looks like current attempts likely still lack a bit when it comes to the universal praise side of it.
