A welcome message in Startpage?

I think for this new 0.17 version release you should include a welcome word in the Startpage of FC.
I do not know if it is possible at this time. But something like "welcome to new 0.17 version of FreeCAD" it would show there is something different and improved with the previous version. The current version number at the corner is too small.

We are more or less planning to "retire" that start workbench after 0.17, or basically turn it into something a bit more simple and useful (I'm thinking of basically a window with all the recent files as icons, one with the recent commits, and one for new users to quickly find their way through the documentation, the workbenches and the community...

This should also be redone fully in Qt (no more HTML) so it doesn't depend on webkit/webengine.

I actually even started a prototype already...

If that is the case. Can I suggest a minimalist approach with big icons and less text?

The screenshot above is the third panel, the first one should be what you look for, but I didn't code it yet...
