After looking at the theme they look promising, just a shame i have to code css to change the colours rather than change them in the preferences.
But i will have a closer look soon when i can.

That's why I suggested that pablogil may help if he's willing.

Just FYI, One of the tools that i need to use the internet is "Dark Background Light Text" add-on for firefox. unfortunately it is not supported in the new versions just yet. and i am not fond of other browsers.

A quick search shows it's been updated last month (July 30th) and supports Firefox 57+:

It has some limitations over the old extensions due to the new Firefox extension system.

Yes that is a job for stylesheets. If you will mention what color you would like to use for the background. I am sure you will get some help on how to achieve it. In addition you can find some instructions here:

And if you will click on one of the .qss files you will notice instructions on the top. On how to easily tweak the overall color scheme to your liking.
