Line Weights Issues

Post by dachinno »

Hello all, a newbie user here with probably a newbie problem or possibly a bug. I am using FreeCAD on Fedora and I ran into an issue where wherever I change line weight (TechDraw Line Weight Group or View Options), an exported PDF looks the same. The lines are almost invisible. Does anyone have any advice how I can change the line weights on an exported pdf or this is a bug? Attached a snap just to show what's the problem here.

I add here a file with a simple circle on a TechDraw page and the corresponding pdf.
Does the pdf look ok?
Does it look ok, if you export the existing page again to pdf?
Does it look ok, if you recreate the view?

I did this in 0.20, but it opens correctly in 0.19.

Thanks chrisb for the help, much appreciated. When I export the page at my end (original view and recreated view) the circle is barely visible (attached). Your pdf export looks good. I'll try and re-install FreeCAD or maybe install it from a different source.

Try 0.20 from here: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-AppI ... kly-builds .
You can try to reset the configuration with the button in the preferences. Another possibility is to delete your config files or to move them in case you want to restore them.

I tried resetting the configuration and removing the config files, but no change. I also reinstalled it from the Fedora repo and it's definitely a bug with this version. I'll try the 0.2 version later with the AppImage...

Hi, I have the same problem on ubuntu (both 21.04, or 21.10) with freecad daily. I do not think, that it's something wrong with my settings, because, if I delete the ~/.FreeCAD folder, the result is the same. Lines are barely visible.

I am attaching my example files. The visible bottom line is only dimension line.

Do you found any solution?

Thanks
