Hi All
First time using TechDraw
I'm having an issue adding a dim - see screenshot
I select the edge but always get this error message
Just another thing, how do you remove the large dots at the end of the lines?

You don't add the dimensions like in sketcher, here you have to select the endpoints (with Ctrl-key).

The points vanish when you export to pdf.

Is it possible to post your fcstd file? The message usually indicates that the underlying edge is actually a BSpline (despite looking like a straight line). You definitely should be able to select a horizontal line and apply a horizontal dimension to it.

As for the dots, they are there to make selection of Vertices easier. The disappear when the Page is printed or exported. You can also use the Image TechDraw_Toggle button to turn the Vertexes and View frames on and off.

Thanks,
wf

In Sketcher I like the greedy selection mode. To me it seems sensible to have it in TechDraw as well. It happens most often that I have to select two points before adding a dimension, and I hardly ever want to have the first point to be deselected.

The bottom of the selection area of the Top secondary view is overlapping the top of the selection area for the Front primary view, so you can't select the top horizontal edge. If you move Top up a bit, then you can select your edge and create your dimension.

The selection area looks a little too big. I'll have to check that.

This commit git commit 603c294d47shrinks the selection area of Views. Your two views shouldn't overlap now.
