This reminds me a little of @amrit3701's project with Rebars. And all the little dialog menus that were used example:

Something similiar to the solidworks could be adapted

P.S. Did some quick tests to see on how snap-fit fits in PartDesign. Two Body design used.

As the release is imminent i would still wait a bit to see if any last minute changes gets in. But for fun you can already fire up AppImage and try to figure out on how for example to model a snap-fit alike geometry. Don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you hit an obstacle.

P.S. We could wait until some snap-fit alike features gets added to FreeCAD. But the reality is FreeCAD is just to powerful to justify that. ;)
