Interesting, non-trivial FreeCAD videos

Post by PrzemoF »

I don't think we have a topic with videos about FreeCAD? I'm not talking about tutorials, just something to watch how things can be done in FreeCAD.
I just came across this one:

Nice tutorial for a function I haven't seen in a tutorial before. I have a hint and a question:
Hint: You can use tangency constraints on the endpoints of B-splines.
Question: If you fuse the inner part and the outer connectors separately you can pathArray them separately. Does the result improve or degrade? If you care to upload your file, I can try it myself.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

We should ask Dan for the file... I'm not the author.

When you guys upload a video on PeerTube, could you please add a #FreeCAD tag? That way, your video will propagate in all the fediverse, for people who search for #freecad. Below is a screenshot of my #freecad search in Mastodon. Your videos don't appear because you didn't use the tag.

Thanks.

Thanks. They're not showing in Mastodon, I don't know why... I'll research further.

There is something funny happening. I'm sure I added FreeCAD and #FreeCAD tags (3 times), but when I come back they are not in the tags and I don't see them anywhere. Bug?

I saw a video showing how adding comments to a PeerTube video automatically displayed in a Mastodon instance... I'll try to find the video. I wonder if #freecad should actually be put in the description field of the video rather than as a tag.
