FreeCAD for mechanical engineering

My mission is to make FreeCAD the default CAD/CAE software for mechanical engineering in small companies and education.

I have created this topic to share useful information for people working on or thinking about working on projects in mechanical engineering. This place is also created to share workflows and good habits of using FreeCAD in mechanical engineering.

All of this is important for FreeCAD to become the default CAD/ CAE software in small businesses and education because it lowers the risk of using it.

FreeCAD has amazing functionality but it is regarded as risky in the mechanical engineering community at this moment, especially in a productive environment.

To start this of I will share this video of me showing a dynamic model that I have created using FreeCAD.

Hmm. Ich sehe weder so richtig wie Du den MK2 konstruierst, noch wie Du die FEM-Analyse erzeugst. Ich sehe wie Du ein paar Parameter änderst und am Ende mit dem FEM-Ergebnis ein wenig hin- und herwackelst. Hat Du vielleicht das falsche Video verlinkt?
