simpleFoam ended prematurely and may have crashed. exit code 3

Post by Zehrondit »

Hello everyone,

I ran into such a problem, I'm trying to simulate the flow through a pipe, a very simple exercise, but after a few iterations, the calculation ends. I found a topic with such an error on the forum, but the solution to the problem was not announced. Someone can tell?

Try potential flow initialisation of velocity.

Try this model as a starting point. Check your inlet definition...
Solver does not converge, try finer mesh and turbulence modell.

Quite right - changing the sign of inlet Ux and using potential flow initialisation on velocity works for me.
