(solved) DamBreak tutorial not running in FC

Post by thschrader »

Last weekend I wanted to demonstrate the cfd-wb to a friend,
with the openfoam dambreak tutorial. OF gave back an error
after a few seconds and I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Month ago
it worked (with bluecfd-core 2016), but I have deleted the old files.
Interfoam-log says, that an entry is missing in fvsolutions dict.
Can someone have a look at my file? Thanks.

OK, I found a tip in the cfd-online forum.
I wrote the case again, then edit fvsolutions, simply putting
in the "pcorrFinal" string in the solver. At the moment simulation runs without error.
Was this string missing because I did something wrong when defining the case in GUI?

EDIT: simulation finished
Adding "pcorrFinal" string to solver obviously helped.
And I have no idea why... ;)

Hi Thomas

Thank you for the report. It was a fairly minor change in OF v5 which broke things (unfortunately I neglected to test the multiphase cases last time). I have updated the workbench accordingly - let me know if you have any further trouble.
Please provide all the information requested in this post before reporting problems with CfdOF.

Hi Oliver,
updated cfd-of-wb, dambreak runs fine, no errors.
Thanks for the fast work.
