import IFC, crash

Postby bernd » Wed Mar 30, 2016 4:12 pm

I have an ifc file which makes FreeCAD crashing. The file name is the culprit. The file name is changed during upload. If I copy the name in the editor it says unsupported character, see screen. The original file was a zip and the Name was Stützen. During unzip it made these crazy character. I tried what happens if I use the character in a *.fcstd file. This works fine, means FreeCAD gives an error it can not find the file. Same was my file manager does if I try to delete the file. In shell I can move or delete the file. Anyway FreeCAD should not crash, that is why I make a post anyway.
