Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
I think likely the problem is in the freecad file, not the exporter...
there is some gruesome pyside2 mismatch on my debian machine right now so freecad doesn't compile and i can't test right now...

Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
Some finding...
Happen to just open the exported ifc in FC and all windows and openings are there
Maybe I need to compile the ifc++ using the latest Berd's repo ?

Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
Perhaps if this is an issue, we should think about adding ifc++ or any other relevant 3rd party software to the About output?

Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
Yes maybe About ifc++, my version is Bernd's repo download at 12.10.2019
And another finding at ifc++.
The window is there, at a particular angle, a slight impression is noted, need to look at the image closely
Just no opening is created ?
Zoom in, the window can't be seen no more.

Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
OK, it is strange
Download and compiled the latest git and still the same in IFC++, No Opening, barely noted the Window is there
Tried BimServer 1.5.162 - Opening is there
IFC++ problem On Fedora 30 ?
Display Driver ?

Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
problem is not Ifc++ but the export from FreeCAD ... see screen. On the left the ifc is exported from this model (https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 86#p360436) on the right it is the ifc you posted here (https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 10#p360684)
Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
here the ifc with the hole in the wall ...
Re: Villa Savoye - IFC Missing Window & Opening
Thanks for testing .
The strange thing is the ifc I made and posted here :-
- In IFC++, No opening for that particular window
- Window object is noted in IFC+= tree, and barely observable
- IFC imported back to FC ; Opening is there
- Ifc imported to BIMserver, opening is there
Same ifc file !!! ???
