Hello,
I'm trying to install this programm on Gentoo linux.
When i want to install the qt4 stuff I get a error message that QT4 package is not stable,
Now I wonder which parts of QT4 are really needed so i can look if i can install parts of QT4 and after that install Free-cad.
Can anyone tell me about that ?

Re: qt4 question
I think it's quite hard to tell... on debian systems qt4 is made of around 20 packages, and it's divided following qt organization, so I think it's pretty hard to make sure which one is needed or not by FreeCAD. I think you need a standard, working qt installation and that probably means many qt4 packages...
If you have something like a libqtgui4 and libqtcore4, those should normally form the base of qt4, and I suppose if those two need other packages they will get installed too...
But probably gentoo people can tell you more about how qt4 works there...

Another one is QWebKit (for Start page) and QSvg for the Drawing workbench.
