Different versions of V0.17 for Win 86

What is the difference between FreeCAD_0.17.7745_x86_dev_win.7z and FreeCAD_0.17.13387_x86_dev_win.7z ?
When I install version 0.17.13387 and try to draw a wall under the arch mod the display freezes. The "wall" is displayed in the combo view but not
in the 3D view and the 3D view can't be changed until the wall has been deleted. Under version 0.17.7745 this works correctly.
I am running Windows 10 32bit.

This can't be said in a few words. Each number means a commit, i.e. a change of the FreeCAD sources, albeit a very small one. You might want to have a look at github: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD. In the middle you have a short description of what has changed. Often it is some lengthy discussion here in the forum which leads to a commit.

If there is something which worked before and doesn't now it's either a bug (regression) and should be fixed or the workflow has changed. Please describe in detail what you have done.

Using version 0.17.13387 I drew a rectangle using the arch workbench and then selected the rectangle and clicked the wall icon. The "wall" shows up
in the combo window indicating that it was created but it does not show up in the 3D window, only the original rectangle. The 3D window freezes up
and I am unable to change the view. When the wall is deleted the 3D window unfreezes an I am able to manipulate the view again.
I installed this same version 0.17.13387 on a different computer running win 10 32 bit and got the same results. I was unable to create a wall in the
3D view.
I was able to create a structure using the rectangle and change the view of the structure. The same problem occured when I tried to create a wall
from scratch. A line shows up in the 3D view but no wall and the 3D view freezes.
I installed the 64 bit version 0.17.13387 on another computer running win 10 64 bit and did not experience this problem.

Then there must be a conflict between version FreeCAD_0.17.13387_x86_dev_win and Win 10 32 bit operating system. I was just curious as to why
the two different versions FreeCAD_0.17.13387_x86_dev_win.7z and FreeCAD_0.17.7745_x86_dev_win were listed on the https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... g/0.17_pre web page.

FreeCAD_0.17.7745_x86_dev_win is an old version that uses an older OCC library but has netgen support.
FreeCAD_0.17.13387_x86_dev_win.7z is the latest win build that uses a newer occ library but doesn't have netgen support.
netgen support is useful for the FEM workbench, so some 32-bit users must use 0.17.7745 to mesh there models and then import that mesh into a current version of FreeCAD to run the FEM simulations.

A faint possibility is that something is conflicting with your preferences. Yoo can reset FreeCAD to "factory"-settings by renaming or deleting the config files: https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.p ... rt_anymore

You should not upload (unsharp and distorted) screenshots in pdf files, you can upload them directly. It's much easier to read.

I tried deleting the .cfg files but that did not solve the problem. Sorry about the screen shots I attached as PDF's . I was unable to paste the images directly.

you might have installed the snipping tool. It belongs to not too old Windows systems.
