FYI, macOS builds are working again.
Thanks peterl94! Any chance for the 0.17 backports?

Also is OSX still PY2?

Any tips?
Sorry, not sure what is causing that. What Xcode version are you using? I built freecad on macOS 10.13.6 using Xcode 9.4.1 without any problems.

I remember there was some issue that prevented me from doing it last time, but I don't remember what. I'll try again.

And still using py2 on macOS. Upgrading has been on my todo list for a long time, but just haven't got around to it. Theoretically, not that much has to be done to switch to py3. PySide is already built for both.

I have applied the fix from master.

Thanks, the build succeeded and deployed (as 0.18.13461?) I re-named it and copied to 0.17 release. Next commit to master should update the 0.18 dev build.

Thanks for the info. Would you mind posing a OSX status here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30340?
No pressure to do anything, just a status of where OSX is and the effort necessary to support a release.

I was one week off, came back and found a great fresh FreeCAD.

Thanks to all who made this happen!

It seems we still have some problems. The 0.18 builds have the 13451 version in the file name but the current FreeCAD master hash 9f98866 hash.
I doubt the file I moved to the 0.17 release page is correct either.

The number shown in the filename has gone completely out of whack:

Code: Select all

FreeCAD_0.18-5235.0252e49-OSX-x86_64-Qt5.dmg
The hash code shows that it is indeed the most current version. FreeCAD info shows the same revision number as the filename.

OS: macOS High Sierra (10.13)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit

Hey chrisb, can you check the 0.17 release as well? I suspect it is also out of whack.

I'm a bit late because download failed yesterday for some unknown reason. Now I have reinstalled and it's the same version as before:
