Build failure on travis

Postby wmayer » Sun Sep 23, 2018 5:32 pm

We again have trouble on travis to get successful builds. One of the gcc builds on Linux fails with this error message:
CMakeFiles/FemGui.dir/ViewProviderFemConstraintTemperature.cpp.o: file not recognized: File truncated
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [Mod/Fem/] Error 1
make[1]: *** [src/Mod/Fem/Gui/CMakeFiles/FemGui.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
According to stackoverflow this might be a ccache problem and one has to delete the object file: ... -gcc-error

Then again the macOS build fails and I am not quite sure what the reason is. At the end of the log file there is this message:
running `casher push` took longer than 180 seconds and has been aborted.

You can extend the timeout with `cache.timeout`. See ... he-timeout for details

Done. Your build exited with 1.

I'm going to first rule out the usual suspect of a homebrew library version mismatch. I started the update yesterday, but won't have the compiled packages up until tomorrow. The macOS builds will continue to fail until then.
