Is it really necessary to sign these bundles?

As far as I understand, there's no way to get these bundles to work on Catalina (the next macOS release, 10.15). Also, every Mac user will be nudged to upgrade the OS (and so they do) and new Macs won't be able to boot older macOS releases.

I hope Apple will care enough + offer ways to open source projects to keep supporting macOS. They do offer developer accounts free of charge (for non profits) already, though.

I have just tested a beta of macOS 10.15 catalina. It is still possible to run FreeCAD - so hopefully we can safely upgrade You just have to do a few more clicks to make it happen.

Good to see that Apple still supports OpenGL. Which FreeCAD version did you use?

I was using the latest 0.19 dmg release from git. Let's hope apple doesn't remove OpenGL with the gm/final release.
