Dear FreeCad community,
I'm trying to install Freecad inside my Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS.
I would like to install the Stable PPA with console, as described here:
https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Install_on_Unix
I'm getting the following error for the last step (sudo apt-get install freecad freecad-doc && sudo apt-get upgrade):
"0 upgraded, 227 newly installed, 0 to remove and 55 not upgraded.
Need to get 398 MB/445 MB of archives.
After this operation, 1.128 MB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] y
Media change: please insert the disc labeled
'Ubuntu 18.04 LTS _Bionic Beaver_ - Release amd64 (20180426)'
in the drive '/cdrom/' and press"
The full log of the installation can be found here:
https://pastebin.com/r61SYvSV
Any tips on how I can overcome this bizarre error?
Thank you very much for your attention.

Re: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS: Trouble trying to install FreeCad via console.
Hello chicortiz,
Welcome.
It's not a bizzare error, and it has no relevance to FreeCAD. It is telling you it requires the Ubuntu install disc - this means that rather than download packages from the Internet, you have set up your Ubuntu to download from the install disc.
You need to go into your system preferences, in Software & Updates, and uncheck the install disc. I can't tell you more than that because my own Ubuntu installation is in French, so I don't know the exact terms in English.

This is the window you need to open, make sure you have the same options set.
