Space navigator support - macOS

Postby Brutha » Sun May 05, 2019 10:00 am

Hi All,

The support for the 3d Connexxion Space Navigator on Mac seems to have disappeared from recent versions - I am not sure whether this has something to do with conda (assume this somehow replaces cmake as a compilation tool?).

It's a bit of a pity, since it worked very nicely with Freecad, and I used it quite a bit. See version info for the most recent copy I happen to have downloaded that still had support.

The post below mentions the cmake flag needed to get things going: I seem to remember that the compilation must be done on a Mac with the 3D Connexxion drivers (there are no open source ones) - I also remember a post explaining that part, but can't find it!

https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 6&start=30

Does anyone know how I might get this going again? Is it possible to still compile with cmake, for example on my own Mac?

Thanks!

Brutha

Apologies, I had intended to post this in "Open discussion" - but seem to absently mindedly posted in the developer board!

Perhaps a moderator could move it?

Thanks!

Open discussion would have been wrong as well; moved to Install / Compile.
