Toolbar lost when creating new document

Post by epmah8891 »

First time using Freecad.
When i press the button "create new document" the Resolution of Display changes automatically and the toolbar on top is lost (a little bit displaced to the top and therefore hidden).
Interesting is that the Position of pushing any button is on the OLD Position, so only grafics changed

Anybody ideas to solve the Problem?

Hi epmah, welcome to the forum. Can you please recheck with a most recent 0.19 version. What graphics card do you use? Is the driver current?

what is your gpu and what is its driver version?

I also wonder if its related to the somewhat old QT version, but that is just a guess.

Not exactly, it is the current development version, the code in Master branch, on Ubuntu Linux family of distros you can use our daily PPA which auto compiles and installs the dev version regularly. On Windows you can download 'snap shot releases' compiled manually by a member of our team, these can be run without needing to be installed and allow easy testing on a reasonably up to date FreeCAD from the master branch of our code.

Is several point releases behind mine. As far as I know, updating that on Windows is not trivial as I think you would have to update and compile the libpack to do so.
