Missing DLL files when installing
Could not find an answer to this by searching, i have windows 7 x64 and downloaded the 64 bit version, every time i click to run it says it's missing another .dll file. Windows is up to date and also C++ was installed, which was suggested by internet search, and still missing files. So far i have found, downloaded and installed 13 missing .dll files and this is getting pretty redundant, ridiculous and stupid not knowing what files are missing until starting to run the program and only showing 1 at a time. Is there an archive with all the .dll files for this program that i can download or does a member have a file to send?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Which version did you try to install and where did you download it? Have you tried the latest 0.19 from https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... g/0.19_pre

It's pretty unlikely there are this many missing .dll'sfasttorino wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 8:07 pm o far i have found, downloaded and installed 13 missing .dll files and this is getting pretty redundant, ridiculous and stupid not knowing what files are missing until starting to run the program and only showing 1 at a time.
So the key question as chrisb has suggested is

Re: Missing DLL files when installing
it's version 0.18
if it helps any, the files are things like:
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l 1-1-0.dll
api-ms-win-core-localization-l 1-2-0.dll
api-ms-win-core-processthreads-l 1-1-1.dll
api-ms-win-core-file-l 1-2-0.dll
do these seem like they belong to freecad or windows?
wouldn't freecad come with these if it needed them?

First file looks like it is from here: https://support.microsoft.com/bg-bg/hel ... in-windows
Found that mentioned in Adobe help center https://helpx.adobe.com/download-instal ... aunch.html
So it looks like your windows is not updated or not updated properly?

Re: Missing DLL files when installing
i agree with this as it's along with what i found searching, but i have completed the windows update without any issues and also downloaded c++ redist. and no luck. kinda why i was hoping there would be a list or archive that would have them, otherwise i guess i'll spend my next two days off downloading one file at a time until freecad is happy enough to run.So it looks like your windows is not updated or not updated properly?
