I repeatedly downloaded the latest 0.19 for Mac as suggested since a few days. Unfortunately all versions crashed while starting the application after initializations and after showing the small FreeCAD about window. (old versions of FreeCAD run rather well).

Does anybody have the same problems? Any hint for solving the issue?

Thanks, I put code quotes and deleted the config files but the result is the same:

Update:
With todays latest version 0.19 for mac

nothing at all happens when trying to start the application. No error message anymore.

I'm currently working with that version.

Gentle reminder: For the first call after installation you have to right click on the icon and select open. Only then you will be asked if you really want to open that application.

I'm sorry but the result is the same: no visible reaction.
I also deleted the config files as suggested earlier in this post but without any change.
Is there a way to look into a log file for details?

You can start FreeCAD from a terminal and look at the output. If that doesn't help, start with the additional parameter -l (small letter L) which creates a logfile in ~/Library/Preferences/FreeCAD.

Which MacOS do you have, 10.13 or 10.14? (Others please note, in this special case I don't dare to ask for the FreeCAD infos :cry: )

As written above, I use 10.11.6 El Capitan. FreeCAD is supposed to run on 10.11. and above.

If I enter FreeCAD --help als documented in

The response is:

-bash: FreeCAD: command not found
