PPA installed version 0.14.
Hi
I have updates to pick up the daily PPA.
I thought I would only get 0.13 updates. Now with the latest update I seem to have 0.14.
How do I go back to 0.13 and only get the 0,13 updates.
Thanks
OS: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS
Platform: 32-bit
Version: 0.14.2133 (Git)
Branch: master

Python version: 2.6.5
Qt version: 4.6.2

Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
You have to change to the stable PPA https://launchpad.net/~freecad-maintain ... ad-stable/

Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
If you want updates, that's what you get. The v0.14 number is a non-issue. It was just bumped up not long ago to follow the freecad unstable releases for Windows.keithsloan52 wrote:I thought I would only get 0.13 updates. Now with the latest update I seem to have 0.14.

As for v0.13.1830, that's the final release and it is not updated anymore. New development is now done for v0.14.
Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
FYI the updates are still being proposed for Ubuntu 10.04, but I may stop them very soon as Lucid Lynx is not maintained anymore on the desktop. (I would copy the last packages to a separate "obsolete PPA" I would create for the occasion)keithsloan52 wrote:OS: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS

I may need the storage space on the PPA repository. I'm thinking of switching the daily PPA to OCE 0.12 which brings notable improvement in boolean operations' computing speed.

Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
Not what I understood was to happen. I thought the decision some time back was updates for 0.13 would happen via the PPA daily update and there would be some NOTICE that things were changing to 0.14.If you want updates, that's what you get. The v0.14 number is a non-issue. It was just bumped up not long ago to follow the freecad unstable releases for Windows.
I don't want any of the new stuff going into 0.14 at this stage. I don't suppose there is a way I can get the last updates to 0.13 i.e. without new 0.14 stuff.
Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
Please explain what you consider updates. I told you already, if you want updates you have no other choice but to use the daily PPA based on FreeCAD's development branch.
And no there was absolutely no decision to offer "updates" on the daily PPA but to create a new stable PPA.

Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
The PPA you are using was always giving you updates for 0.14. The point is that until a few weeks ago we still had the version number 0.13 in the About dialog but in fact it was 0.14 all the time.

Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
By updates to 0.13 I understood as fixes to function in 0.13.Please explain what you consider updates.
By updates to 0.14 I understood as new function.
If my memory serves me correct there was some discussion about daily PPA updates continuing for 0.13 and at some time there would be a switch to 0.14 which would include new function. Clearly this did not happen and seems like I am the only one that recalls this. I will be more wary of what is said/decided in future.
Re: PPA installed version 0.14.
Having a daily PPA doesn't make much sense because after the release there were maybe 4-5 commits in the source code and since then never touched again. If my memory serves me correct there was some discussion about daily PPA updates continuing for 0.13 and at some time there would be a switch to 0.14 which would include new function.
