Not sure if this is the right place but I wanted to report something and hear if there are any workarounds.
The AppImage of FreeCAD used to work flawlessly up to Ubuntu 21.
With the release of Ubuntu 22 as the new LTS, libfuse2 needs to be installed for the AppImage to run.
Upon installing it however, what you get instead of the start page is a black screen. I am wondering if this issue is known.

Re: Problem with Ubuntu 22
Have you looked at other topics about issues launching FreeCAD on 22.04? Did they solve your problem?
Re: Problem with Ubuntu 22
I am able to launch FreeCAD upon installing the missing package, the issue is that the start page won't show up and instead a black screen is shown. Perhaps there are more issues down the road which I haven't encountered yet. I haven't found any other threads that report this problem.

Re: Problem with Ubuntu 22
when asking this type of things please always include your full FreeCAD info (help->about->copy to clipboard)
Is that the same issue? This seems more related: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bundle/issues/97 and it should be fixed in the latest appimage so if you are using 0.19 or an older 0.20 release please try again with with the latest dev version
