There's also an ongoing effort for Gentoo Linux (see https://bugs.gentoo.org/622726) currently waiting for some dependant packages getting included into the tree, most notably pyside/shiboken, pivy and re-adding SoQt.
While we wait there's a current and actively maintained version in the "waebbl" overlay, which can be added by the usual means by any Gentoo user.

You might want to mention this as a place to get the stable and latest builds. Just in case new users pass by.

I am pleased to say that FreeCAD 18.3 just got merged into Guix! You can find our packages listed at guix.gnu.org. Also the best way to contact a maintainer is via the mailing lists: help-guix@gnu.org for questions and guix-devel@gnu.org for development.

:+1: Thank you!
I will make a note.
Edit: is there a reason why Guix is not on replogy, or perhaps the package hasn't been picked up yet by repology ?
