There is an ongoing macports maintainer working on packaging 0.18.x at https://github.com/Schamschula/macports/issues/1

There's also an ongoing effort for Gentoo Linux (see https://bugs.gentoo.org/622726) currently waiting for some dependant packages getting included into the tree, most notably pyside/shiboken, pivy and re-adding SoQt.
While we wait there's a current and actively maintained version in the "waebbl" overlay, which can be added by the usual means by any Gentoo user.
