+1

How about the glider wb? Do you continue with this, or do you stop FreeCAD dev at all?

Hi @looo

Hopefully you are in general alright and just a bit stressed out and need a break from FreeCAD. My best wishes go to you and hopefully someday our paths will meet again. It has been a privilege to work with you and you have shown some real leadership. Without you on board i feel that whatever comes next will likely be less that what was before. At least in foreseeable future. During all this years i have experience some highs and some lows, when involved in FreeCAD packaging efforts. Working with you i don't remember any lows. All in all people were able to click on a button on a FreeCAD download page and download a binary for all supported platforms. All having the same up to date set of dependencies included and a wealth of them. Over time likely new people will step up, offer new distribution channels. I personally don't plan to work in this area anymore.

P.S. Over the weekend i will shut down the Travis build instance. Likely with a PR, as sometimes i have access to the repository settings and sometimes not. Mainly to preserve the existing binaries and not to rebuild and reupload them daily anymore.

Sad news. It was a pleasure working with you. Best of luck.

Thanks, guys for all the kind words. It was a pleasure to work with you.

Sometimes when you try to reach a mountain and you can't find the logical next step there is only one logical step and that one is going backward. Trying a totally different way from the bottom might help to reach that mountain or at least see the mountain you want to climb.
