[please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
Hi freecad-community
Please have a look at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bund ... ses/0.19.3 and test the 0.19.3 bundles.
The bundles include a lot of backports and also are updated to newer dependencies.
If you see any issues please report back in this thread.
Thanks a lot!
btw.: The source code of freecad with the git-information included is now available as a tar.gz file:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bund ... rce.tar.gz
This might be interesting for maintainers.

does this mean version.h with all the correct info will be auto generated like when building from git? nicelooo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 12:44 pm btw.: The source code of freecad with the git-information included is now available as a tar.gz file:

Re: [please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
Hello, In version 0.19.3 I have a wrong behavior with respect to 0.19.2 that I had already observed in versions of 0.20 tested before.
It is when using View/FullScreen, with 0.19.2 it works fine while in 0.19.3 (and 0.20) I have screen flickering when pressing the standard menu buttons, or small temporary locks when opening panels such as the dialog window of macros or preferences ...
In the same way, the F11 key with 0.19.2 works fine, place the 3d view on the full screen and another F11 push returns to the previous state. In 0.19.3 one F11 push works fine but another F11 push to return doesn´t work and I have to push Windows button, then appear two FreeCAD windows and I have to close the active document window.
(Not important but in the menu it says Alt + F11 but this has no effect here, it works well or badly pressing only F11).
My tested versions:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24291 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: (HEAD detached at 0.19.2)
Hash: 7b5e18a0759de778b74d3a5c17eba9cb815035ac
Python version: 3.8.8
Qt version: 5.12.9
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.4.0
Locale: Spanish/Spain (es_ES)
OS: Windows 10 (10.0)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24365 (Git)
Build type: Release
Python version: 3.8.12
Qt version: 5.12.9
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.5.3
Locale: Spanish/Spain (es_ES)
I can live without this fullscreen option, but it would be nice to know at least why it happens.
Thanks for your work.

Re: [please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
Sounds like a graphics card or driver or OpenGL issue. There are some configuration options presented in the Known OS specific issues topic.

Re: [please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
Ok, in this case something is different in 0.19.3 given that my graphics card or driver are the same and with 0.19.2 works fine.
I have studied this thread several times as I have had problems other times installing freecad on other computers. I have also searched for all the information I could before posting here.
Greetings and thanks.

Then you should try a current 0.20.

There's just been an update to the actual Windows installer which isn't based on Conda, feedback for this version would be more welcome as it's going to be the main version accessible for Windows users on the website Downloads page. Please see https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 38#p550738
Re: [please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
Hi looo.
I've been using the 0.19.3 bundle with seemingly no issues for awhile now.
I had some very strange and cryptic error all of the sudden with the 0.19.2 bundle and had to upgrade to 0.19.3 to fix it.

Re: [please test] FreeCAD 0.19.3 bundles
It's hardly of any help if you don't even say what the errors were. Anyway, 0.19.3 has been officially released, upgrading to 0.19.3 is already recommended
