Also made a gif of it. But can't embed that in the forum so here it is:

Thought it would be nicer for the current one.

Looks great! Just made a release today, but didn't see your post in time. I might use it for the next release. Thanks!
Try Assembly3 with my custom build of FreeCAD at here.

I am running both snap and appimage versions on my PC and unless I have different logo for both I can't see which version I am firing off.
So for now I have modified appimage one to the one below.
Something to think about? when creating new icons?
ie different version for snap and appimage ???

so now my launch bar looks like so
(how else would I know which icon is doing what?):

I mean if it works for you, but you absolutely bastardized my icon by slapping a A on it.
Why do you run 2 similar versions?

Sorry it was only temp hack ;) and an attempt to bring to your attention the potential issue of those of us who run more than one version...
I run both snap and appimage because one is proper "edge" version, but either can go tits up  so I want/need both just in case and for checking/comparison.
I am, sure I am not the only one...
I am sure you can do better :ugeek:

Thanks a lot!
I will test them for actual appearance on my screen and report back
(BTW - I know how to change appimage icons since I am in full control of it's integration, but have no clue how to do it for snap  )
Will have to ask elsewhere I guess... :ugeek:

I had added a border to improve visibility but but I can just disable the border click render 4 times and here you go.

That's probably better...
I also had an answer about snap package .desktop location (https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 47#p595138)
So I will play with both (and report back).
I am also thinking that visibility might be an issue for icons with "snap" and "APP" overlaying regular FreeCAD icon.
Perhaps they could be one above another? (I am not graphic designer  , but I am old and wear bifocal glasses  )

P.S. you have asked why I use both appimage and snap... here an example why:
