in this tutorial I ...
At regis off topic:
I downloaded the spaceframe from your github.
For me as a (german) structural engineer it would be of interest,
which loadings your engineers must use for a location in africa (especially wind loading).
Excellent video. regards thomas
Haha that's great, you can make some tangible recommendation. The model I drew is just a basic one, as you can see the connection are not yet realistic. Although not an ingineer, I would like to have your opinion on such types of structure.
A while ago I came about this pdf but it looks 'chinese' to me as i don't undertand how to use the information and not even sure if it relates well. http://www.saevfors.se/Hurricane/Manual_5.pdf
But mostly it is meant for the Tropical regions of the africa. the dark green mostly

regis, thanks for the manual.
wind-loading phillipines: 280 km/h ==> in germany NO building would survive...
about statics: when I have a little bit more time, I can load your spaceframe into my
3d-framework-program. Lets see, how the structure reacts.. regards thomas

Beautiful, thank you so much, and thank you aswell for improving the rebar tool. you have no idea how significant this is. May I ask, what is your roadmap for this project?

Yes as you suggested it works on my system when I use the normal structure, but it doesn't work from when the structure is derived from a wire.
@all
Now, I have added support to rebar add-on when structure element is derived from any object (like wire, sketch etc.). Comments are welcome.

Test create a column with double stirrups.
+1.
I have updated the getParametersOfFace(structure, facename, sketch = True) function. Now it takes a face name of the structure as an argument instead of face object and it also returns parameters of a face when structure element is derived from any object (like a sketch, wire etc). https://github.com/amrit3701/FreeCAD-Re ... 45efd2R171

this will be a major mile stone, I can't wait to test it out. will get back with some results when i get the chance.

I said that I already did this. So, you may test it now.

Regards,
Amritpal,
well done!
Beam is from part-design-WB. I play with the custom-spacing.

Regards,
not quite yet, so process i use is that I draw a draft wire shape like rectangle etc, and the convert that draftwire into a structure
no success yet
