Whiteboard for v0.18

There is a technique in problem solving that was once called "brain storming". I believe it has a new name these days, but the principle is still in use. Essentially the technique boils down to everybody in the room shouting out ideas, and a facilitator writing the ideas on a whiteboard. After some time limit, the individual ideas are grouped, discussed and refined.

For success, it is essential that the participants:
1) defer judgement. This is about generating ideas, not about critiquing them. That comes later.
2) strive for quantity. More ideas are better.

It seems an appropriate time to start brainstorming for v0.18, so I propose this thread as the whiteboard for v0.18. I'll post a sample idea in a minute.

Feature. TechDraw wb. Find a solution for creating page templates that doesn't require the author to be a whiz at inkscape and hand editing svg.

Part Design (then: without "Next"): Have a more comfortable way of selecting and deselecting edges etc. for sweeps and the like.

Feature. Draft wb. The ability to parse a set of lines, wires, and symbols, and create a linear diagram with nodes from this information. No necessary to do calculates, only lengths.

Once we have a decent list, we group them, eliminate duplicates, get clarifications, etc. Then we have arguments discussions to work out if & how.

Get the basics right!

Figure out the part / body issues left over from 0.17

Get the assembly workbench fully working.

Speed up the geometric constraints solvers with better feedback about issues if possible.

Move more toward what's happening with fully 3D modeler research and development.
