FreeCAD Book Club

Post by ian.rees »

The FreeCAD Book Club is intended to be a forum for connecting people who need things that cost money (like books) to help with their FreeCAD work, with people who would like to contribute money towards FreeCAD work.

If you want a thing: Make a reply below clearly stating what it is that you're looking for, the approximate cost of that item, and a concise justification. When someone contacts you via PM and arranges to provide you with the item, edit your post to strike through the original text, marking it clearly as being a completed transaction. To strike through text, use 's' tags, for example to write text, use:

Code: Select all

[s]text[/s]
If you want to donate to a particular person below: send them a Private Message through the forum, to coordinate the exchange. How this works in detail is up to you and the donee - maybe you'll send them money, maybe you'll order the thing and have it delivered to them.

Discussion about the Book Club belongs in another thread - for example FreeCAD Book Club - Discussion.

From the original discussion thread - I think it would be great if the folks with an interest in UI decisions had access to a copy of Universal Principles of Design, so that they could share some common vocabulary. The English language version of the book costs roughly $20USD, and it has apparently been translated in to several other languages as well.

I would like to have one of these. The English version would be fine as we communicate here in English.
