First post. X/Y graph and imported dxf sketch miles apart.

Post by grampastentis »

Hello My name is Steve.
I used AutoCAD for about 8 years and I am currently using DraftSight. When I import a dwg file I use ODA File Converter_title19.8.0\ and my 2D drawing imports with a couple of minor issues. My 2D drawing ends up as a dot in the upper right corner of my screen and the small X/Y axis graph goes to the bottom left hand corner of the screen. I can zoom to my drawing and it looks good. I created a new project selected the body command and then the make a sketch command. All of the line objects of the drawing show up in the left hand screen and are numbered. I can not get any commands to work with my drawing and I spent hours trying to work out the problem. I'm rather stubborn that way. I have watched videos and read through the forums for hours but I can't find the answer I need. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I ride dirt bikes to meet women. Mostly nurses. :D
