I made a little advertisement post on the Open Source Ecology Facebook page mentioning us and how we do GSoC, since OSE interacts with a lot of universities I figured having them spread the news as well would help. Getting the word out well in advance will be a good idea since coming up with or deciding on a project should take quite some time.
Like my FreeCAD work? I'd appreciate any level of support via Patreon, Liberapay, or PayPal! Read more about what I do at my blog.

Really good idea! FC is a major part of their (OSE) workflow. Already there has been a mutually beneficial collaboration between oddtopus (FlamingoWB) and ruslan (author of https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki ... _Workbench).
I bet IFC and BOM would be one of several interesting direction to pursue. Nice!

The project ideas we had for previous years are still valid I would say. Maybe we could add a couple of new ones, maybe something related to documentation?

I'll also add a BRL-CAD/FreeCAD integration idea...
