No, if preselection is on, then working with assemblies is extreme slow. The mouse trigges the calculating on the left bottom on the screen (all 4 CPU are working, the GPU is laughting). Only when the mouse in not over an element of the assembly, then is fluent when the preselection is on. Also a have the feeling, when an element A was made before element B, than the calculation of the coodrinates on the left corner is a very little bit faster from A than B. I hope you understand what i mean. I can made a webm on the (right) thread.
If the preselection is off, FreeCAD is fast. It is nearly intenpended of the deviation (tesselation).
