Here is an interesting add-on for Blender 2.8 : Drawchitecture.

It's a toolset for creating temporary plane arrays as workplanes based on the previously drawn greasepencil strokes.

With this, you can import a FreeCAD project into Blender and do full 3D artistic scenarios rather boring renders
