SheetMetal Radius and Kfactor

Post by FIBMCad »

Dear all.
Hello and thank you for developing freeCAD every day for us.
I'm Mechanical Engineer and I use FreeCAD at home for some small projects.
Sometimes I need to make parts in bended sheet metal, so I use sheet metal workbench.
I have a problem: every time that I make a bend, I have to change internal bend radius (Ri) and k-factor (Kf), because FreeCAD set them to default values (Ri=1 and Kf=0,5).
I was thinking that could be cool if the user can set the default Ri and Kf at the beginning of the drawing, like the choice of material in a FEM simulation :

1) start new document
2) select Sheet Metal Workbench
3) press the button "select Kf and Ri", set in a window default values for Ri and Kf
4) start to make the drawing

Is important that every bend's Kf and Ri remain free to be modified by the user indipendently by the other bend to adjust the model (for example fold crushes have Kf different from 90° bends).

Is it possible to implement this function?
Best regards.
